The Mathematics of Logo QR Codes: Why Level H is Required
Placing a logo in the center of a QR code physically blocks and destroys a portion of the data modules beneath it. This works because QR codes incorporate Reed-Solomon error correction codes. While Level L can only tolerate 7% data loss, Level H tolerates up to 30% data obstruction.
Never Exceed 25% Area
Keep your logo between 15% and 22% of the overall QR dimension. Exceeding 25% leaves zero error correction budget for ambient camera glare or printing smudges.
Protective Padding Pad
QR Doctor automatically places a clean padded buffer behind your logo so adjacent modules do not bleed into the logo artwork.
Keep Corners Clear
The three corner squares are position-detection finder patterns. Never allow logos, graphics, or text to infringe upon the outer edges.
Everything You Need to Know About QR Codes
Clear, honest answers about static encoding, optical scannability, printing, and privacy.
A static QR code encodes your exact destination data (such as a website URL, Wi-Fi network credentials, or vCard contact card) directly into the black and white 2D matrix modules using the ISO/IEC 18004 standard. Because there are no middleman redirect servers involved, the code functions indefinitely as long as your website remains online. There are no trial periods, no renewal dates, and zero monthly fees.
